Why buy an air bed?
Though a couch is very comfortable for seating purposes, it is not advisable for sleeping. If you have an overnight guest and they have to sleep on the couch, you have to imagine the trouble they have to go through adjusting themselves on it. It might work out for kids, but for adults it is extremely difficult to adjust themselves.
What you may not know is that air beds can also be used as an alternative to standard beds found in bedrooms. They have a number of advantages over conventional beds. The most major advantage an air bed has is that they can be fined-tuned to a level of comfort that you prefer. You can do this by blowing up the air mattress to the right level of firmness for you. If you want it firm pump the bed up to near capacity. If you want it softer let some of the air out of the mattress. Air beds can also reduce dust mites and prevent allergies as dust and small particles aren't trapped inside the mattress as with a conventional bed. Air bed can also easily be brought out to a camping ground. You can even carry it on your back if you're strong enough making it one of the best beds to be used for camping purposes. There are other different types of beds like cabin beds, ottoman beds, dream beds, Hasena beds and many more.
Apart from this, an air bed is also a very convenient way to give an overnight guest a nice mattress to sleep on. You can store it easily and inflate it to provide your guests a great place to rest. You can put it on a small open space in your living room or basement. Wherever you've got a little space, the air bed will work for you. Airbeds are less ordinary mattresses with an inflatable core. They are filled with air and can displace body weight from extreme pressure points. The firmness can be precisely adjusted for the right level of comfort. They are very useful in hospitals and nursing homes, suitable for people who spend long hours in bed. As airbeds can distribute the weight of the body evenly, they also reduce the pressure on some parts of the body.
However, one of the major disadvantages of Air beds are that they lose their firmness over time. At this stage, even pumping the air bed up with more air can make it prone to being damaged. There is also a risk of being punctured which will render the bed useless as it will no longer be able to contain the air. Even though it is possible to repair punctures the repaired part of the mattress will remain weak and prone to opening up.
Hence, make sure to check the durability of Air beds before purchasing one. They are a wise investment and if maintained properly, can last till many years.
